We did not sign up for or use the other tools here: what follows is read from their own public pages on the dates shown, with stated facts kept apart from marketing claims. How we review.

Jobapplier: read on 2026-10-31 from its public pages and public plans API on jobapplier.co, signed out, and from its code. The signed-in features are described from the code and its documentation, not from a hands-on run, and no application was sent for this site.

How we ordered this list

  1. What the free plan keeps doing for you: exports, tracked jobs and keyword checks, with the limits as each tool states them.
  2. How jobs reach the tracker, and what sits beside each job once it is there.
  3. What the AI may change in a resume, and whether you approve each change.
  4. The paid price and the stated terms for leaving: renewal, cancellation and refunds.
  5. What each tool's own pages leave unclear or contradict.

No scores and no ratings: the order follows these criteria, applied to what each product's own pages state.

Why people look past Teal

Teal is a resume builder and job tracker in one account, with unlimited PDF exports on its free plan. The reasons to compare it come from its own pages: no Word export was found, the full keyword list and the match score are Teal+ features, the free AI credits do not renew, and its refund and renewal terms could not be read when we checked. Teal’s pages refused automated reading on 31 October 2026, so its lines here are from 30 October.

How the list is ordered

The order follows the criteria above, in that order of weight. It starts from the reason you are leaving: the tracker, the file format or the match score. None of these tools was used for this page; every line comes from its own pages.

If the tracker is why you use Teal

Huntr is built around the board. Each job holds notes, dates, tasks and salaries, contacts sit beside them, a map shows where the companies are, and the phone apps save jobs on the go. The trade is price and certainty: Pro costs more a month than Teal+, there is no trial, and refunds are at Huntr’s discretion.

Jobscan’s tracker is free and puts a match rate on every card, which suits you if you scan each posting anyway. Kickresume’s free tracker links each application to the resume and cover letter you sent.

Jobapplier’s Tracker board has no limit on any plan, and each job in its own listings carries a 0 to 100 score with a one-line reason. Its pages do not say that you can save jobs from other boards into it, so it suits you only if you search from its listings.

If you need Word files

Kickresume downloads PDF or DOCX with no download cap on the free plan, and its tailoring reports each change it made. Huntr exports saved versions as PDF or DOCX. Rezi adds DOCX on Pro.

If the match score is the point

Teal keeps the match score behind Teal+. Jobscan gives 5 scans a month free with the match rate and the gaps, and names the employer’s applicant tracking system. Enhancv’s checker runs 27 checks, but its free plan lasts only 7 days. Each score is the vendor’s own model of a good match; none of their pages shows how it relates to an employer’s decision.

Before you switch

Check the terms for leaving, not only the price. Kickresume’s money-back guarantee applies once per user. Enhancv does not refund a used monthly plan. Huntr’s refunds are discretionary, and Jobscan’s must be asked for within 2 days of a billing period. Jobapplier refunds any Pro payment in full within 7 days. Read them on each tool’s page before you pay.

Auto Apply matches the user with jobs from Greenhouse, Lever, Workable and other ATS platforms and fills details from the resume and profile. [source]
The Agent applies only to jobs that fit one of the person's Apply rules and none of their Skip rules, on the single-page forms of eleven systems: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee, Rippling, Breezy, Teamtailor, Pinpoint, BambooHR and Personio. [source]
A new account starts with one Skip rule (scores below 70) and no Apply rule, so nothing is sent until the person writes one. [source]

What is the best free alternative to Teal?

For tracking, Huntr's free plan tracks up to 100 jobs and Jobscan's tracker is free. For building, Kickresume's free plan downloads PDF and DOCX without a cap. Teal's own free plan already exports unlimited PDFs, so compare on what you are missing.

Which Teal alternative exports Word files?

Kickresume (free), Huntr (PDF or DOCX for saved versions) and Rezi (DOCX on Pro). Enhancv names PDF and TXT only, and Jobapplier makes PDFs only.

Is there a Teal alternative with a phone app?

Huntr has iOS and Android apps for saving jobs, Kickresume has iOS and Android apps for building resumes, and Rezi has a job-search app. Whether Teal has phone apps could not be confirmed from its pages.

Is Huntr cheaper than Teal?

Not per month: Huntr Pro is $40 a month against Teal+ at $29 every 30 days. Teal also sells a 7-day period at $13. Huntr is $26.66 a month on its 6-month plan.
