Teal HQ review

What Teal is

Teal is a resume builder and a job tracker sold together. One account holds your resumes, a board of the jobs you are pursuing, a cover letter generator, its own job search and video interview practice. A Chrome extension saves jobs from more than 40 job boards into the board. Teal’s help centre says it does not submit applications: you export the resume and upload it to the employer’s form yourself.

Every Teal page refused automated reading on 31 October 2026. The lines on this page come from Teal’s own pages as read on 30 October, and the page says so where it matters.

The resume builder

The free plan lets you create, edit and export as many resumes as you want, as PDFs. That is the part of Teal most people can use without paying.

For a specific job, Teal’s AI rewrites the summary and the bullet points with the wording of the job description, and Auto-Select picks the work experience items it judges most relevant, which you then switch on. The pages read do not say what the AI is barred from changing, such as job titles or dates, so check each rewrite before you export.

No page read mentions a Word export. If an employer or recruiter asks for a .docx, plan for that.

Keywords and the match score

On the free plan Teal shows the top five keywords of a job description. Teal+ shows every keyword and a match score of the resume against the role. If the score is the main reason you are looking at Teal, you are looking at a paid feature.

The tracker

The tracker is where Teal does more than a spreadsheet. Each stage of the search comes with e-mail templates, and the Chrome listing names goal setting, salary information pulled from job descriptions, follow-up reminders and bookmarked contacts and companies. The extension’s listing does not mention autofill, and the version shown there was updated on 26 June 2025.

Pricing and what we could not read

Teal+ is billed every 7 days at $13, every 30 days at $29 or every 90 days at $79. The pricing page says no card is needed to start. The 7-day period suits a short burst of applications, if you cancel before the next one starts.

What we could not read: Teal’s refund policy, its auto-renew terms, whether prices change by country, and whether it has phone apps. Each was behind a page that refused us. Before you buy Teal+, look for the renewal date and the cancel button in your account.

Who should look elsewhere

If you need Word files, a resume score on the free plan, or a tracker with phone apps you can confirm today, compare Huntr and Kickresume below. If your search starts from a job description you want to match, Jobscan’s free scans may answer that faster.
